Participating students gain required skills sought after by secured service industry employers, including advanced technical training, industry-recognized certifications and hands-on defensive training.
Our training facility is conveniently located on Pantops (182 Spotnap Road) in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Basic 2-day course in Security Officer training program that is required in order to obtain the proper DCJS certification to work as an unarmed Security Officer. This is a prerequisite to become an Armed Security Officer in the state of Virginia.

This course is for those who wish to carry or have immediate access to a firearm while on duty as Private Investigators or Armored Car Personnel. It is NOT the course required to become an Armed Security Officer. 07E is also required as a prerequisite for the 09E advanced handgun course.

Security Officer Handgun is required for those who intend on performing the duties of an Armed Security Officer in Virginia. The student will be required to qualify with each caliber of handgun he/she intents on carrying or having immediate access to while on duty.

This class provides the students with knowledge of Constitutional Law, Virginia Law, and DCJS regulations regarding Arrest Authority. It is required, in conjunction with the Security Officer Handgun (075E) course, to move from an Unarmed Security Officer to Armed Security Officer.

Required training for Entry-Level Personal Protection Specialists (32E) who wish to have firearms endorsement. Also optional for other armed security registrants, private investigators, and armored car personnel. All students who intend on participating in 09E Advanced Handgun must first complete Basic Handgun (07E) or Security Officer Handgun (75E) prior to the start date of 09E.

The Patrol Rifle is required for Armed Security Officers who have access to or will be using a patrol rifle during the course of their duties. The Security Officer Handgun course (75E) is a prerequisite for taking the patrol rifle training.

Concealed Carry permit class qualifies students to receive their Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit. Students will leave the course with the required certificate and instructions, ready to finalize and submit their Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit application to the Circuit Court in their county of residence.

Training program required to obtain DCJS certification to work as a Private Investigator in the state of Virginia. A private investigator means any individual who engages in the business of, or accepts employment to make, investigations to obtain information on crimes or civil wrongs; the location, disposition, or recovery of stolen property; the cause of accidents, fires, damages, or injuries to persons or to property; or evidence to be used before any court, board, officer, or investigative committee.
